Association with Punjab university

Established in Lahore in 1882, the University of Punjab is the largest and the oldest seat of higher learning in Pakistan. It was the first to be established in the sub-continent in a Muslim majority area. The University comprises five campuses, 19 Faculties, 08 Constituent Colleges, and 138 departments, centers, and institutes. The University also has 658 affiliated colleges. It has 991 full-time/regular and 300 part-time faculty members involved in teaching/research and 49,520 on-campus students.

Institute of Energy & Environmental Engineering

The Institute provided testing facility to the Punjab Government for the re-evaluation and re-estimation of the Punjab coal reserves. The Institute is also providing free consultancy services to the private enterprises for; gasification, coal cleaning, coal fired electricity generation, domestic utilization of coal, substitution of furnace oil/natural gas by coal in the industrial sector, transfer of technology from the developed/developing countries to Pakistan and the spread of knowledge, experience, and skills to public within the country by integrating results on indigenous energy sources. The Institute is also providing analytical testing services at the cheapest rates to the academia, research institutions, and industry.

Remote Sensing, GIS and Climatic Research Lab (RSGCRL)

The availability of such a lab with latest equipment and competent team of experts and analysts can be of great advantage to adapt, mitigate and prevent climate change problem. The RSGCRL aims to promote and facilitate education, research activities and collaborations to study and develop GIS and Space Applications with particular emphasis on sustainable development in Pakistan, and cost-effective tools for developing world.
